International Summer Course On Public Health 2023

International Summer Course on Public Health is organized by Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. This events aims to enhance the knowledge in the field of public health, give confidence to talk in a foreign language, improve general skills like giving a presentation and give insights about public health area, initiate a collaboration among student and Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur.

 

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

This summer course can be enrolled international student of undergraduate degree, master degree, doctoral degree, foreign expert, and researcher who have overseas institution.

REGISTRATION FEE
Foreigners = Free
Indonesian = Rp. 300.000

SUMMER COURSE ACTIVITY

The course will be held two weeks from (July 17th – August 4th, 2023) through Learning Management System (LMS) Open Learning https://opl.umkt.ac.id/ . LMS provides the course materials and some assignment that must be done by participants. The summer course will be delivered by English. We provided four courses, including Global Health, Liquid Waste Management, Environmental Health of Coastal and Archipelagic, and Scientific Writing. All of student can choose minimum two courses on this summer course.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Global Health
  • Student can explain the how to be achieving better health outcomes for vulnerable populations and communities around the world
  • Student can explain how to eliminate health disparities in low-resource settings around the world through research, education and collaborative intervention.
  • Student can explain the multidisciplinary approach to understanding emerging health challenges, considering social, cultural, economic and environmental factors that underlie health inequities.
  1. Environmental Health of Coastal and Archipelagic
  • Student can explain health impacts, air quality, and water and sanitation.
  • Student can explain how to be creating clean air, stable climate, adequate water, sanitation and hygiene, safe use of chemicals, protection from radiation, healthy and safe workplaces, sound agricultural practices, health-supportive cities and built environments, and a preserved nature are all prerequisites for good health
  • Student can explain the environmental problem in coastal and archipelagic field.

 

BENEFIT

The participants can get some benefit from this summer courses, such as scholarship, international networking, certificate, and new insight.

 

SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship is available for foreign participants proved by Student-ID or other issued by overseas institution. The scholarship is included tuition fee.
