In commemoration of World Bicycle Day on June 3, 2026, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (UMKT) invites the entire academic community to reflect on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the use of eco-friendly transportation within the campus environment.
Bicycles are more than just tools for exercise or recreation; they are an affordable, emission-free, and inclusive solution for sustainable transportation. Through this momentum, UMKT reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving the physical and mental fitness of the campus community, as well as fostering a low-pollution campus ecosystem.
Every pedal stroke we take is a tangible contribution to reducing carbon emissions. By cultivating a habit of cycling or walking around the campus area, we are not only maintaining our physical health but also actively protecting our planet.
Let us make World Bicycle Day 2026 a turning point to care more about our surrounding environment. Grab your bicycle, and let's pedal together toward a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for UMKT!
