The faculty is scheduled to conduct a series of strategic international academic activities in the Philippines from June 28 to July 2, 2026.
The UMKT delegation consists of two faculty members and four outstanding students. Leading the academic mission are Ns. Tri Wahyuni, M.Kep. (Dean of FIK) and Zulmah Astuti, M.Kep. (Faculty Lecturer).
They will be accompanied by four selected students representing two distinct study programs:
- Salma Nur Nayla (Bachelor of Nursing Program)
- Aji Rizka Alya Putri Wijaya (Bachelor of Nursing Program)

The cross-border academic programs will be hosted by two top-tier higher education institutions in the Southern Philippines, namely Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and Bukidnon State University (BukSU).
This international outreach is part of a joint effort to elevate the quality of health education, broaden students' academic horizons, and reinforce international nursing networks.
Beyond student enrichment, this program serves as a vital platform for faculty members to gain international exposure, share clinical knowledge, and enhance instructional competencies through global benchmarking.
Ultimately, this academic mission is expected to cultivate a rich global perspective among nursing students and accelerate institutional quality, firmly supporting UMKT’s overarching vision to stand as a center of higher education excellence that is globally competitive.
